Kikayon
Choreography with the painter's installation Ron Chen, 2023

Kikayon, premiered at the Hezi Cohen Gallery in Tel Aviv, is a collaboration between choreographer Lilà Rouge and artist Ron Chen. Inside a fogged glass box, a nude performer moves in slow motion, shifting through poses drawn from Chen’s paintings and his themes of nomadism and the search for space. The performer’s body meets the glass surface, merging with Chen’s world of displacement and reflection. The work creates an intimate, vulnerable atmosphere, exploring transformation and the fluidity of identity. Each slow transition foregrounds the act of becoming, revealing strength and fragility in constant motion. As viewers step away, the figure blurs, offering an impressionistic image that captures the essence of change rather than its precise contours.
